The sessions at the NGW school on a Thursday night keep getting better and better and tonights (Thursday 24th Sep) was the most enjoyable session I have taken in a long while. Despite the low NGW trainee attendance and the low RDW trainee attendance, combined numbers were not too bad (10 in all I believe) with a new starter too. Speaking of new starters, has anyone heard from Damian, the lad who started with Finlay? Did he train over the two weeks I was absent?
I thought the session flowed very well and everyone worked hard and we really covered a lot of stuff.
It was nice to see Danny back training, his stuff with Haggis was really good and the match they had was very show worthy. Chelsey had a cracking first sessions back and whatever it is your doing, KEEP DOING IT!
A big well done to everyone who attended tonight and for those who didn't attend, GET YOUR ARSES INTO GEAR!
You need to take sessions when you can get them. Attending training for most of you is what gets you booked on shows. The attendance from the RDW guys at training has been really poor lately and with local sessions like these available make the most of them and the added ring time.
If theres anything you want to cover at training or you want to discuss what we have done at the sessions then please feel free to use this thread to ask away. If the forum is getting used regular I'm sure the admin wouldn't mind adding a Kayfabe training board to discuss sessions.

Really was a great session. Sore as hell the next day though and the second day rot has set in today. Learnt so much in one session and feel so much more confident for it. It's all going to add so much more to my performance, I just want to get better and better and can't wait to learn more. Cheers Steve
And Damien definitely wasn't there last week, which is a shame.

This session for me was awesome, it was only my 3rd in ring session but from the stuff we were shown and taught by Steve Sykes i felt like i picked up 3 sessions worth just in this one session.
I really cant wait to get in the ring again tonight.
Like i said i have only attended 3 sessions but i have so far taken instruction form Steve Sykes and Alex Shane. Does it get any better then that? I dont think so.
Looking forward to tonight even if i am sore as hell for the next couple of days, its worth it.

Nice turnout tonight from both the NGW regulars and the RDW contingent. Training really went off on a tangent from what I had planned but still the session was very constructive and enjoyable. It may well be worth more RDW (and NGW) guys attend next week as I have decided that Dara's "Academy Championship" will be up for grabs in a series of tests and challenges. Well done again guys, see you next week.

Im not sure how the numbers are from the NGW team this week but Team RDW will be in full force this week. Claire, Stacey Baybie and Bubbles will be joining myself aswell as Havok, Lance Lenahan, Super Robbie, Kennedy and Lee Chaos. Be afraid NGW, Team RDW are coming for you!
Don't forget that this week Dara Diablo's Academy Championship will be on the line and the New "Standout" trophy will be presented to one deserving trainee this Thursday.
Richie, Luke, Nathan rally the NGW troops and well see you on Thursday!

Right just so as you guys have got a heads up here's how tomorrows (today's) tournament will work. Over the course of the session I will be scoring people on certain elements, such as; team work, effort and determination, skill and actual wrestling (including promos).
Each week the winning trainee will be presented with a trophy which he/she will be able to take home and return the following week where the tournament will begin again. Should the winning trainee have enough experience they will have the opportunity to face the Academy Champion (which is currently Dara Diablo) for the title at the end of the session. In the event of the weekly winner not having enough experience to challenge for the Academy title the most deserving (experienced) trainee will be offered the opportunity to do so.
So remember whether it's setting up the ring, the warm up, bump drills, promos or any other aspect o training, you will be judged and everything you do (or don't do) will contribute as to whether or not it's you who takes home the trophy and get the chance to challenge for the Academy Championship.

And so we have our first "Standout student of the week" (we really need a name for this). Congratulations to Steve who in little over a month has really developed from a first time student to a very competent and hard working apprentice.
On the whole yesterday was another great training session however I do feel that the NGW roster and NGW students need a bit of a kick up the arse when it comes to attending training. Once there, you guys work your arses off, but we (the training school and NGW) need you to attend training to better yourselves and to help the growth (and to keep the promotion up and running) of NGW.
On a side note, as Dara Diablo failed to attend training yesterday he now has two choices; 1: Either defend his Academy Championship in a gauntlet match at next weeks training session or... 2: Dara Diablo surrenders his title

Well done Steve, have to say I'm really impressed with the guy, he's coming on great and doesn't look like he's about to slow down anytime soon.
